Gobble gobble! Turkey time is creeping up on us! Don’t panic though, this is the perfect time to enjoy every moment of the Thanksgiving season right before we’re thrown into full blown holiday season. Rockin’ an adorable turkey mani is the right way to get things started. Its easy, quick and cute!

What you’ll need

Ruby Wing’s Eclipse for the dark purple
Ruby’s Wing Strawberry Shortcake for the glitter
For the feathers, I used Color Club’s duo pens in red,
yellow, and orange. For the eyes I used white & black duo pens and for the body, Color Club’s Bronze striper

First step, on clean fresh nails, paint Ruby Wing’s “Eclipse” on your nails. Leave your accent nails blank for the turkey art. After Eclipse dries, add some Strawberry Shortcake on the tip for some sparkle. After that coat of Strawberry Shortcake dries, paint one more tiny layer of to the tip of your nail to create a build up of sparkle, sort of like a gradient effect.

Now its time for the fun!

Grab your duo pens and get ready to draw some feathers. Were going to start with the red and yellow feathers. Draw two on each side, and then three on top. You can switch up your colors as you like.

Next get ready to draw your plump turkey body, its really simple, just take your brown and fill in the negative space in between where you placed your feathers, and now it should be looking more like a turkey.

Give your turkey some eyes by using a dotter, bobby pin, pencil tip, or anything else you can find to make a perfect circle. One dot white, let it dry, and then one dot black on top.

…But it’s not a Turkey without a beak! The beak is just a simple upside down triangle which you can go ahead and draw in under the eyes. Don’t forget the Turkey’s signature gobble!

Now just add some finishing touches, like details on the feathers, and your ready for a Thanksgiving feast!
